DEEPLY THERAPEUTIC, LLC
Deep tissue massage that
"Hurts so good!"

Clinical-Sports Massage like you've never had before...
Tired of falling asleep on the massage table, only to wake up with your aches and pains afresh the next day? Here at Deeply Therapeutic, I take a completely different, invigorating approach to deep tissue massage! Restoration and healing begins in the depths, and we understand that here at Deeply Therapeutic! No foo-foo frills here, but rather true, deep, deep tissue that "hurts so good!" You can expect:

-
A thorough intake offering treatment for the exact spots you come in for, along with any other spots found during your discovery session
-
We quickly identify problem areas/tight spots and work to address those within minutes
-
I take my time working out each individual muscle until we have achieved relief
-
I emphasize SLOW, myofascial release, having clients engage with me in small movements in order enhance the release
-
I seek and find the universal patterns of compensation that is common to just about every human being. Our bodies are not symmetrical, why should the treatment we do on them be so as well?
-
I love cross-fibering for stimulating and activating muscles; and I think you will too when you see the amazing relief it will bring to those stubborn, stuck, achy, sore muscles/joints
-
No more covering your aches and pains with temporary means; I work hard to restore muscle function through a myriad of stimulating techniques
-
I have a deep understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, which helps me to better analyze what sort of techniques should be employed in every area of the body
-
Can't skip that good ole' massage acupressure! I cannot stress its importance!
-
I work everything, including intra-oral massage, which is done during TMJ treatment for those who suffer from jaw pain/clicking, and other surrounding areas
-
Contract and Relax stretching, and joint decompression massage techniques
-
BEMER Therapy with every session to increase proper blood flow at the microcellular level

What Can You Expect During your session?
You will be greeted and welcomed in to a serene, comfortable, safe space (with a view!), where you will be offered privacy to undress down to your (preferably sports) underwear. Upon meeting:
-
A thorough intake of present concerns, where I will try to absorb as much as I can in order to better help you
-
We will make a plan together about what we will first address, and create goals and plans to bring you deep relief from your aches/pains, and bring your body to proper functionality
-
Coming in with sportswear/underwear is preferred/encouraged, as it allows for better variation of treatment, with better end results
Deeply Therapeutic is for you if you:
-
Have pain with your movements
-
Experience clicking of joints with your movement
-
Have pain while sleeping that may keep you up at night
-
Compensate movement patterns, which cause improper form when working out, exaggerated weakness in opposite joints, and joint impingement at end range of movements
-
Suffer with any form of tendonitis (i.e tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, bursitis, rotator cuff pain, achilles)
-
Suffer from lower back pain (i.e Piriformis syndrome, sciatica, scoliosis, lordosis)
-
Suffer from any upper cross syndromes (i.e numbness and tingling down the arms, kyphosis)
-
Suffer from severe neck pain (i.e, whiplash, text/computer neck, poor posture)
-
Headache tension
-
Pain when rotating the neck
-
Have limited extension/flexion
-
Issues caused by TMJD such as: clenching or grinding of teeth, tension in jaw, or clicking when opening the jaw
-
If you find yourself with severely limited range of motion (ROM)
-
Dumb/Lame muscles that are hard to activate or are difficult to lengthen/release
Preparing for Deep Relief at Deeply Therapeutic:
It is important to know what to expect before, during, and after your massage. There are absolutely things TO DO and things NOT to do in order to enhance, prolong, and retain the effects of your massage.
DO:
-
Arrive 15 minutes early so that we can have time to form a proper treatment plan
-
Hydrate yourself by drinking no more than about 8-10oz of water 15-30 minutes before getting on the table
-
Come ready to dress down to your sports underwear (men-- sport shorts/briefs, ladies-- sports shorts/underwear and sports bra)
-
Speak up if you feel any pain that doesn't "hurt so good" and feels maybe a little bruisy
-
Disclose any serious medical conditions that could be adversely affected by Massage Therapy
-
Expect some lingering soreness as your muscles have been stretched, pinned, and deeply manipulated for an hour (soreness is a normal side effect that lets you know that your muscles have been worked well-- just like what happens after a good work out).
-
Drink another 8-10oz of water immediately after your massage session to rehydrate and feed those tired muscles
DON'T:
-
Stay quiet if you are experiencing serious pain/discomfort
-
Engage in any form of crypto-therapy 24-48hr following a massage (i.e ice packs, cold water baths, etc). You will nullify the effects of your massage

"On a referral from my chiropractor, I've been seeing Greg for about 6 months due to a shoulder impingement and I am thrilled with the results. The immobility was affecting my crossfit and was trending poorly.
Right out the gates, the level of deep tissue work and myofascial release is OFF THE CHARTs. I've been around the block so to speak with therapeutic massage, and all previous ones are childs play compared to Greg's approach, which is quite unique.
His special, unique understanding of how to work on trigger points is evident within the first few minutes of the appointment.
Simply put, Greg has ruined any/all other massage appointments elsewhere - I simply will no longer consider any other person/place.
Last thing to mention about Greg, his bedside manner is cheery and kind. He sincerely cares, and most of all he gets results!"

"I had to let everyone know that Greg Nelson gave the most thorough deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. Greg is extremely knowledgeable and worked out all of my knots and tightness. He was very attentive to my areas of concern while being mindful of my tolerance to the pressure he used. Greg gave suggestions for stretches and body mechanics as I continue working toward my fitness goals.
Welcome to Texas! You are definitely a kind, personable professional and I will be a repeat customer. Thank you!"

"I have seen many massage therapists over the years so this review does not come lightly but Gregg is by far the best massage therapist I have seen and has an amazing attention to detail! He has a gentle yet firm and comforting touch and ability to find the deeper / hidden areas that need attention that most others would go right past. I felt so comfortable and relaxed in his room and on his table. One of the best massage sessions I've ever had, a true artist at his craft. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! Highly recommend going🙌"
