Clinical-Sports Massage like you've never had before..

Tired of falling asleep on the massage table, only to wake up with your aches and pains afresh the next day? Here at Deeply Therapeutic, I take a completely different invigorating approach to deep tissue massage! Restoration and healing begins in the depths, and we understand that here at Deeply Therapeutic! No foo-foo frills here,  but rather true, deep, deep tissue that “hurts so good!” You can Expect:

  • A thorough intake offering treatment for the exact spots you come in for, along with any other spots found during your discovery section.
  • I can quickly identify problem areas/tight spots and work to address those within minutes.
  • I take my time working out each individual muscle until we have achieved relief.
  • I emphasize SLOW myofascial release, have clients engage with me in small movements in order to enhance the relief.
  • I seek and find the universal patterns of compensation that are common to just about every human being. Our bodies are not symmetrical, why should the treatment we do on them be so as well?
  • I love cross-fibering for stimulating and activating muscles, and I think you will too when you see the amazing relief it will bring to those stubborn, stuck, achy, sore muscles/joints.
  • No more covering your aches and pain with temporary means, I work hard to restore muscle function though a myriad of stimulating techniques.
  • I have a deep understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, which helps me better analyze what sort of techniques should be employed in every area of the body.
  • Can’t skip that good ole’ massage acupressure! I cannot stress its importance!
  • I work everything, including intra-oral massage, which is done during TMJ treatment sections for those who suffer from jaw pain, and other surrounding areas.
  • Contact and Relax stretching, and joint decompression massage techniques.
  • BEMER Therapy with every session to increase proper blood flow at the microcellular level.

What Can You Expect During your Session?

You will be greeted and welcomed into a serene, comfortable, safe space (with a view!), where you will be offered privacy to undress down to your (preferably sports) underwear. Upon meeting:

  • A thorough intake of present conditions, where I will try to absorb as much as deeply as I can in order to better help you.
  • We will make a plan together about what we will first address, and create goals, and plans to bring you deep relief from your aches/pains, and bring your body to proper functionality.
  • Coming in with sportswear/underwear is preferred/encouraged, as it allows for better variation of treatment, with better end results.

Deeply Therapeutic is for you if you:

  • Have pain with movement.
  • Experience clicking of joints with your movement.
  • Have pain while sleeping that may keep you up at night.
  • Compensate movement patterns, which cause improper form when working out, exaggerated weakness in opposite joints, and joint impingment at end range of movement.
  • Suffer from any form of tendonitis (i.e. tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, bursitis, rotator cuff pain, achilles).
  • Suffer from lower back paint (i.e. golfer’s elbow, bursitis, rotator cuff pain, achilles).
  • Suffer from lower back pain (i.e. Piriformis syndrome, sciatica, scoliosis, lordosis).
  • Suffer from any upper cross syndromes (i.e. numbness and tingling down the arms, kyphosis).
  • Suffer from sever nick pain (i.e. whiplash, text/computer neck, poor posture).
  • Headache tensions.
  • Pain when rotating the neck.
  • Have limited extension/flexion.
  • Issues cause by TMJD such as: clenching or grinding of teeth, tension in jaw, or clicking when opening the jaw.
  • If you find yourself with severely limited range of motion (ROM).
  • Dumb/Lame muscles that are hard to activate or are difficult to lengthen/release.

Preparing for Deep Relief at Deeply Therapeutic:

It is important to know what to expect before, during , and after your massage. There are absolutely thing to do and thing not to do in order to enhance, prolong, and retain the effects of your massage.

Do:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early so that we can have time to form a proper treatment plan.
  • Hydrate yourself by drinking no more than about 8-10oz of water 15-30 minutes before getting on the table.
  • Come ready to dress down to your sports underwear (men– sport shorts/briefs, ladies–sports shorts/underwear and sports bra).
  • Speak up if you feel any paint that doesn’t “hurt so good” and feels maybe a little bruisy.
  • Disclose any serious medical conditions that could be adversely affected by Massage Therapy.
  • Expect some lingering soreness as your muscles are stretched, pinned, and deeply manipulated for an hour.
  • Drink another 8-10oz of water immediately after your massage session to rehydrate and feed those tired muscles.

Don’t:

  • Stay quiet if you are experiencing serious pain/discomfort.
  • Engage if any form of crypto-therapy 24-48hr following a massage (i.e. ice packs, cold water baths, ect). You will nullify the effects of your massage.
